Miss Steak not such a Mistake.

Without a doubt, Jalex had their best day in the show ring to date when our Heatherview Cooper sired heifer was crowned Supreme Champion at the NI Commercial Cattle Exhibitors Club’s Summer Spectacular event.

With well over 100 entries competing in what is the largest show of commercial cattle in NI, we knew the competition would be really strong – and it was! There was a tremendous display of cattle right through the calf, heifer and steer sections.

“Miss Steak” went over the bridge at 375 kilos on the morning of the show, and picked up a red ticket in the lightweight class under judge Liz Vance, Scotland. In the breed classes Leo McEnroe had her Champion in the British Blue section. It was back to Liz for the Overall, and we were absolutely delighted when she tapped her out as her pick of the day.

We had ten cattle out at the show (nine of which were home bred) and managed to take home Supreme Champion, Female Champion, British Blue Champion, Reserve Charolais Champion, 2 firsts and 5 seconds.
